Grandpa is Home!!!!

Mom called me this morning, Sunday, and said that Dad was being discarged. Curt called later and said he was heading to the hospital to help Mom get Dad home and settled. He would love to hear from you all. So call him or drop by for a visit. It would really brighten his spirits.
Glad you are home Dad!!!!!!!! The recovery will be much better in the place you are most comfortable. IN YOUR HOME!!!!!

Grandpa and Santa

Today I went to visit Grandpa with Mom, Grandma, Karin, and Noah! Grandpa was so happy to see Noah! Noah gave him hugs and kisses, which made him very happy!! We love you Grandpa! Oh...and we went and got Noah's picture taken with Santa Claus today. Here is his yearly Santa picture for your entertainment :). He is so stinkin' cute!

My Christmas wish was granted. Dad made it through surgery like a champ. For an almost 80 year old he is doing MARVELOUS!!!!!!!!! It was a long day on Thursday when he went in. Me, Curt and Mom were there through the morning, and I must say I was quite anxious as were the other 2 waiting room attendees. Karin came about 2 or 3 that afternoon. Grandpa indured 7 1/2 hours of very complicated surgery. In the end the tumor was gone (YEAH) his stomach has actually become apart of his esophagus. Just amazing what modern medicine can do. His surgeon, Dr. Ott, who is actually the chief of surgury for oncology, was very positive about everything. Him and his staff as well as the nursing staff are just AWESOME. They seem to be very concerned about the patient as well as the family. I am very very very glad all went so well. I love you very much Dad and all of us will be here for you through your recuperation. Grandma also deserves a large round of applauds. She as been there for Grandpa through this whole entire adventure. And what an adventure it has been. You really find out what you are made of when something comes into your lives and you actually make it through.

Grandpa has been in ICU for only 2 days and tonight, Saturday night, he is to be moved to a private room in the Patient Tower at the new Hospital. His spirits are good and I can tell all of you that he has been thinking of his beautiful family more than he thinks of himself. Especially McKenzie, Noah and Brayden. WHAT THE HECK IS IT WITH THE GREAT GRANDKIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love you Dad and Mom and all the rest of my exceptional family. This will be a MERRY CHRISTMAS.........................

Doctor Check up

Brayden had a doctor visit today - looks like he has lost a little weight, MORE food is on his mind for sure - nikki and kevin visited and the big guy peed all over grandpas bed ( you can see the water stains)- here are a few pics of the day -

When are we going to have this baby & More

Me, Jana, Nikki, & Kevin went to applebee's and, man did we all eat. Holy crap - we almost licked our plates we were so hungry - Its was Nourishment, delicious - and - "our tummies were happy"
Well, Kevin took Nikki up to the hospital last night, contractions were about 5 minutes apart for quite some time. About 2.5 hours later they were home again I woke up and Miiki was reading a book for relaxation. - BUMMER - Poor Nikki has had enough and ready for this child to come into the world. They stayed over last night and she is resting. If nothng happens today - they will induce labor Monday around 0930 hours. -
Well brittany has moved out and got into an apartment over by Mom & dads. - James Points #14B if i remember correctly. 2 bedroom and looks nice and quiet. Its kinda quiet here not having Kenzie to read mornings and play. And fix the sippy cup. But we all must move on in life and i am very happy for them all. I have Britts room as the spare room, and the other room is now my Computor room ( kinda likes Sam's ) just not with all the "mechanics" laying around. I would say his PC room is worth more than mine - (for now) - - All is well - Good Day

Did anyone get a chance to see the bridge move over to the new 45th south ramp. Me and Jana did. I could not get to close so i got a police officer to take some pictures for us. IF you look real close you can see it moving ..he he . he..... All is well and just waiting for grand baby boy to be born--- 6 days from due date - I am way excited.....

I must say it was really nice to read Curts entry. As he siad Nikki is due in less than a month. We are going to her shower on Saturday. Can't wait to see her. The last time I saw her was on Kenzie's Birthday. She is probably ready to have her little guy. Kevin is going to be an awesome Dad.
Angie is doing much better. The morning sickness (which was the all day sickness) is almost gone. Now it is just night sickness. November 17th is the day we will find out if her little one is a boy or girl.
I talked to Dad tonight and he seems quite positive. Although it has been a long, hard haul for him. So proud to say that HE IS MY DAD!!!!!!!!!! Mom (like Curtis said) is a rock. She has stood by Dad and helped him through it all. What GREAT PARENTS we have.
As soon as Angie gives me back my camera I will post pictures of the before and after work on my kitchen. It turned out beautifully.
Meeka is growing up so fast. She is a cutie and I only wish that she would get house trained a little faster. Oh well, can't hurry the process.

SO....................... Am I the only one posting this Month??????????????????????

Well, Nikki is only like 25 days before i become a Grandpa again........ It is a boy and if you did not know his name is Bradon. She is puffed out and ready to go i assume. Pretty exciting YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kevin works nights at Home Depot and he says he enjoys the shift, but he sleeps 14 hrs a day ( kidding ok) - Karli has been staying up with me twice a week during her schooling. And I love it - we eat well, and when she is not studing we watch movies , Dr Pepper, Diet Coke, and lots of junk food - WE ROCK..................
Jason is doing well, and continues to coach soccer. And play as we all know of him......... REAL SLC would have made a name for themselves if he was playing. Schooling and busy 95% of the day and nights. with all that he does. - Trevor & Heidi well check out their BLOG it rocks............
Britt & Kenzie are doing good and Kenzie is excited about the new addition in March / April - Me and Boo watch movies together alot, and almost every friday she comes with papa to work..... - My Jana - well what can i say - SHE IS A SWEET HEART - we have alot in common and really enjoy being together. and she is such a patient person ( but at times she may want to ring my neck ) thank goodness she has tiny hands.... LOVE YA HUNNY.............

Wanted to say to all my kids that I am proud of each of you for who you are and what you want to achieve in life. Stay strong, live well, and love often. I Love Each of You Very Much.

BEST news of all, dad has completed his radiation treatments as of last Monday. Still has his bad days, but i think has better ones more often. And dad we know this is hard times for you, but you will always know that your children are right there by your side, and we will help keep you strong so that you can get this over and done with WE LOVE YOU !!!!!
